Currently, BBC Wales only supports Apple iOS devices for mobile journalism.
Although many Android devices can compete at least as well (if not better) with camera technology etc, we believe that the combination of these phones/tablets, apps and peripheral devices offer the balance between quality and value for money. There is also a very significant fragmentation within the Android market, which creates additional complexity in terms of support and training.
